As part of the Matariki celebration Tania was invited to be part of the Star and Cloak exhibition currently being held at the Wellington Academy of Fine Arts at Queens Wharf in Wellington. The exhibition runs through to the 17th of July.
Crafted from a mixture of fine copper wire, custom resin beads and wax cord " Kapa Whetu" is a masterful creation showcasing her talent as an emerging artist with a unique style. Alongside her cloak is part of her new jewellery range "Homeland" featuring limited edition brooches made of stainless steel and felt.
If you happen to be in Wellington get on down and check it out, alongside Tania's work is a collection of some of new Zealand's most exciting Maori designers with their take on the traditional Maori Korowai Cloak.
Nga mihi nui !
